A thematic version of the common DMP template in DMP OPIDoR
The MasaPlus consortium’s Documentation working group has developed recommendations and forms specific to archaeology, available in the ANR and Science Europe machine-actionable templates, with the collaboration of colleagues at INIST who manage the DMP OPIDoR platform, in particular Anne Busin.
‘To support researchers in drawing up data management plans, DMP OPIDoR proposes and encourages the common ‘Science Europe: structured template’, a template designed and organised to facilitate the planning and implementation of data management in compliance with the FAIR principles.
The MASAplus consortium, which supports the archaeological community in best practices for the use of digital technology in research, has chosen to encourage the use of the OPIDoR common DMP template for its community’s data management plans (DMPs).
- Thematic forms
Keen to guide researchers in the disciplinary aspects of archaeological data management, the consortium has customised two forms from this template to meet their needs:
- the form for re-using existing data (question 1.2 ‘Will existing data be re-used?’),
- the form for collecting new data (question 1.3 ‘How will the new data be produced/collected’).
