The Pumapungo Museum (Cuenca, Ecuador) is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition ‘Andean pottery skills: southern Ecuador and northern Peru’, which will take place on 2 September at 7pm. The exhibition explores the diversity and richness of technical skills that have flourished for millennia in the field of pottery in southern Ecuador and northern Peru. This work is part of the ‘Andean Pottery Knowledge’ project funded by the Arcadia Fund and the British Museum’s Endangered Material Knowledge Programme, led by Gabriel Ramón, Martha Bell (Catholic University of Peru) and Catherine Lara (UMR 8068 TEMPS). The initiative also has the support of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (Regional Cooperation Delegation for South America and French Embassy in Ecuador).
