Boris Valentin in Residence at the Nemours Museum
Since January 1st, the Musée de Préhistoire d’Île-de-France in Nemours has welcomed Boris Valentin, a professor at Université Paris 1 – Panthéon Sorbonne, for a six-month research residency, thanks to a program supported by the CNRS.
A specialist in the Recent Paleolithic, Valentin is a leading figure in research conducted at major sites such as Étiolles and Pincevent, as well as on the prehistoric rock art of the Paris Basin. From emblematic excavations to rock art hidden in the sandstone chaos of the Paris Basin, his expertise offers a fresh perspective on our oldest heritage.
This residency is an invitation to dialogue: rethinking the presentation of collections, imagining their enrichment, and bringing prehistoric art to the heart of the museum.
