Prehistory of Armorica: lectures on current archaeological research in Brittany
On 15 November 2025, a themed day organised by the Société de Conservation d’Histoire du Littoral d’Archéologie et de Géologie (SCHLAG) took place on the island of Bréhat (Côtes-d’Armor, Brittany). This day, supported by DRAC Bretagne, UMR TEMPS and UMR TRACES, offered a discussion of current archaeological research in the Armorican Massif on selected topics ranging from the Lower Palaeolithic to the Upper Palaeolithic. Speakers included Dominique Cliquet (SRA Normandie), Laelia Moreau (Université Nice Côte-d’Azur), Louis Marguet (UMR HNHP, National Museum of Natural History), Cédric Sarrazin (University of Rennes 2, UMR CReAAH), Malo Hesry (University of Toulouse Jean-Jaurès, UMR TRACES), Yoann Chantreau (SRA Brittany) and Morgane de Parthenay (University of Paris Nanterre, UMR TEMPS) presented their work on sites along the Brittany and Normandy coastlines. The day provided an opportunity for collective discussion between researchers and the general public.
