Musée de l'Avallonnais

Come and see how, in Prehistory, humans made their tools and hunting weapons from stone! You can attend a flint knapping demonstration, as the technique was developed during the Upper Paleolithic, between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago. You will then see how to use them on wood, soft stone, or even shells… if you can’t go hunting!
Continuous access for two hours

Demonstration by Pierre BODU
Prehistoric Archaeologist – Senior Researcher at CNRS UMR 8068 – TEMPS, MSH Mondes, Nanterre University.
