Musée de l'Avallonnais

Upper Paleolithic humans maintained close and complex relationships with the animal world: predators, food and technical resources, taboo or symbolic animals… These interactions, far beyond mere subsistence, reveal a deep intimacy between our ancestors and the fauna that surrounded them. Primarily through the study of worked bone materials—tools, ornaments, and art objects—we will explore together how these remains help us better understand these relationships.
