The Larsa programme (Iraq) wins the 1st Clio 2023 Prize for archaeological research
Founded in 1997 to encourage French-speaking archaeological research abroad, the Clio Prize for Archaeology is awarded each year by an independent jury of academics. There are four prizes, including a Special Jury Prize, and a Clio Special Prize for a foreign archaeological mission close to France and the French-speaking world.
The 1st Clio Prize was awarded to the Larsa programme, under the scientific direction of Régis Vallet.
