Presentation of the Silex Research Group

Coordinated by Vincent Delvigne (UMR 8068 TEMPS), the GDR Silex 2059 is entitled ‘Characterisation and provenance of a georesource during Prehistory’. It was created in 2019 and renewed in 2024 for five years. It brings together some thirty partners representing more than a hundred researchers from various disciplines (archaeologists, petroarchaeologists, prehistorians, geologists, mineralogists, geochemists, geographers, computer scientists, etc.). The GDR Silex receives funding from the CNRS (SHS and E&E), the Ministry of Culture, Inrap, Paléotime, Eveha, and local authorities.
