The GDR Silex tools for capturing and sharing cartographic data

Thanks to an integrated digital chain from the field to publication, data on silicate formations and deposits are captured, validated, shared and made available on the web on the cartographic platform wwww.cartosilex.fr under an Etalab 2.0 open licence. Documentary resources, published on the Nakala platform under the same open licence, complement the data available on the Cartosilex platform. In 2025, the mapping platform is being migrated to an open source solution thanks to financial support from DIM PAMIR.
