Aude Favereau

Aude Favereau s’intéresse principalement à la question des échanges culturels et des mouvements d’individus en Mer de Chine méridionale au cours de la fin de la Préhistoire (1er millénaire avant notre ère au début du 1er millénaire de notre ère).

Sa recherche de thèse a porté sur les échanges culturels en Mer de Chine méridionale au cours de la période comprise entre 500 avant notre ère et 200 de notre ère. S’appuyant sur une approche technologique, son travail visait à explorer les interactions croisées entre la péninsule Thaï-Malaise, le Vietnam, les Philippines et le Sud de la Chine. Il s’agissait de définir les différentes formes de circulation des céramiques, de déterminer si ces circulations étaient en lien avec des mouvements d’individus tels que des marchands, artisans, ou autres, et/ou de récipients, et de retracer les routes d’échange et de distribution empruntées.

Elle a ensuite effectué un post-doctorat de deux ans (2016-2018) à l’Archaeological Studies Program de l’université des Philippines, financé par une bourse de la Fondation Fyssen.

De 2019 à 2026, elle a exercé en tant qu’Assistant Professor à la National Cheng Kung University (Taïwan).

Depuis août 2026, elle bénéficie d’une bourse de recherche octroyée par la Fondation Gerda Henkel.

Elle est aussi membre de la mission archéologique franco-thaïlandaise et de la French Archaeological Mission in Peninsular Thailand and Myanmar dirigées par Bérénice Bellina, ainsi que de la mission archéologique française au Myanmar dirigée par Thomas O. Pryce.

À la National Cheng Kung University (Taïwan), Aude Favereau a principalement enseigné l’archéologie de l’Asie du Sud-Est, du Néolithique au début de la période historique, ainsi que l’analyse des céramiques au niveau Master.
