– Archéologie des échanges maritimes entre l’est de l’Océan indien et la Mer de Chine  – premier millénaire avant et de notre ère

1. Connexité des bassins maritimes asiatiques et co-évolution des différentes populations (complexes, marchandes, agricoles, nomades) de la péninsule Thaï-Malaise et de leurs environnements en relation avec les échanges sur la longue durée. Analyse des changements culturels en particulier à travers les analyses des technologies pour reconstituer les contextes socio-économiques et politiques (centralisation politiques, complexification, etc.), le rôle des industries et des artisans dans les constructions politiques et identitaires, les dynamiques ethniques et identitaires.
2. Communautés et Patrimoine. Représentations et usages du passé en Asie du Sud-Est. Processus de patrimonialisation participative avec les communautés en péninsule Thaï-Malaise (projet associant ethnologie, technologies, archéologie, histoire, géographie, botanie, muséologie) et diverses institutions thaïes, du Myanmar et françaises (CNRS, IRD, LESC, MNHM). Ethnohistoire, ethno-archéologie et valorisation des savoirs locaux de communautés en marge (nomades marins).
